ALABASTRA botanics is located in the countryside of North Zealand, Denmark.
As a company Alabatstra botanics’ aspiration is to sustainably transform the spirit of nature into a form that might be useful and appreciated by us humans. As well as being an aspirant in the calling for a retuning of our senses for a clearer perception of the natural world and the web of life we’re all a part of.  

It is the vision of Alabastra botanics to serve as a stewardess of the Earth, a humble amalgamator of the precious gifts of Mother Nature with an environmental responsibility. 

Digging into Earth’s bonanza, there is truly gold to be found. And our aim is to respectfully use the resources and treasures of the plant world to create the best natural therapeutic articles to care, protect and rebalance our systems and very essence.

The word alabastra is the Greek name for an ancient type of pottery shaped as jars or vases which were used to hold precious oils, ointments or perfumes.
The original vessels for this purpose were made from a type of stone found near Alabastron in Egypt, hence the name.

Such an alabastron is mentioned in the Bible when Mary Magdalene goes up to the charismatic spiritual teacher Jesus from Nazareth, publicly pouring her very special and costly fragrant healing Spikenard oil out of her alabaster flask, anointing  his head and feet.
A gift of love and devotion, where only the very finest and of the highest value is good enough to offer.

This story and precious jar was the inspiration that led to the name Alabastra botanics.

As the person behind Alabastra I’d like to share with you my passion about traveling into the more subtle realm and ‘sacred world’ of herbal medicine. To the place at the core where healing wisdom and natural balance reside. This is where my interest lies, and this is what I am tapping into – from the very beginning of an idea all the way to the finished product. To me this is almost like entering a dream world of sorts, where I practically journey together with the plant spirits.

The decisions we make about how we live have huge impact on both our physical and emotional selves – And it is my belief that self care must consist of both the

physical and the spiritual, where not only our earthly, solid bodies play a significant part, but equally important are our thoughts and feelings, even our spirits, our souls. The whole needs to be nurtured – inspired and moved.

With my artistic background in visual arts, I am now with my knowledge of plant medicine working within another kind of creative landscape, using materials of herbs, flowers and aromas as the palate for composing. And in my products I am creatively trying to make a charged connection, making contact with nourishment beyond a healthy meal or the essential vitamins and minerals we need, and hopefully bridging a (possible) gap that might result in harmony and better balance.


By blending scientific information and ancient wisdom of plant matter and healing, my aim and hope is to transmit beauty and health by creating truly invigorating and restorative ‘living’ natural potions that ultimately might bring on a more harmonious and joyous existence. By going all natural, instead of artificial and synthetic, this is a balance that not only will support us personally, but the whole planet. – We can consciously choose, not exclusively for our individual selves and purposes, but also to cherish and respect our bestowing Mother Earth.
